ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Vigi and I'm a community builder who believes that strong communities create unstoppable environmental movements and positive impact.

Growing up on an island taught me that community isn't just nice to have—it's transformational. When neighbors looked out for each other, we weren't afraid to ask for help and share resources. When we all took ownership of our seagrass beds and kept our beaches clean, our island thrived. Community gave me purpose, support, and the belief that I could make a real difference. Furthermore, that community drive and purpose helped me earn nearly a full scholarship to NYU, well in addition to being a math and science nerd.

Here's something most people miss: Descartes said "I think therefore I am," but the real insight isn't in the thinking or the being—it's in the "therefore." That triangle symbol () connecting three dots represents our first relational matrix, our first network. Consciousness comes from connection and experience ignites it.

Environmental movements fail when they focus on individual behavior change instead of building the relational infrastructure that makes change feel natural and sustainable. That's why I'm obsessed with helping people find their tribe. Community supports people through loneliness, gives kids the guidance they might not get at home, and turns individual action into collective power. You can't make transformational movements without an engaged community.

Now I'm focused on activating the communities we need to protect our oceans and green spaces. Because real environmental change doesn't happen through guilt or information—it happens when people feel genuinely connected to each other and their shared spaces.

Currently exploring: Zero-waste community events, re-wilding NYC and making green spaces irresistible gathering spots.
